Founded in 1981 by Karen Elkin and Robert O'Toole, Classic Glass has established itself as the leading commercial glass studio in metropolitan Washington, DC. Our experienced designers and craftsmen blend artistry with state-of-the-art technology to create elegant, innovative architectural glass and strikingly beautiful, commissioned works of decorative art glass.

Classic Glass laminated products offer the ultimate in design flexibility while conforming to ANSI safety standards. Our back-painted glass system can match virtually any color and is ideal for back-splashes, countertops and glass walls. Classic Glass can also cast recycled float glass up to 4’x8’ and add a multitude of color effects with glass frits, translucent paints and fusing techniques. Classic Glass services include on-site etching, stained glass restoration, delivery, installation and in-house design.
